What to Expect When You’re
Expecting Homeopathic Treatment
In Homeopathy, we use minute doses of plant, mineral, and animal substances to stimulate the body to heal itself. Every time I give you a new medicine, I will want to be in touch with you no later than 72 hours after you take it, so that we can discuss your response to it.
With each advancing day, you should both monitor yourself and ask others if they note anything different about you (sometimes it’s hard to objectively see things in ourselves that others easily can). So try to be aware, and make note, of any changes that you observe in your physical, mental, and emotional health during your treatment.
A homeopath selects the most appropriate medicine based on each individual's specific symptoms and personal level of health. With Homeopathy, we treat people such as yourself as an individual to encourage healing which is in line, or parallel to, your body’s own attempts at cure. This can sometimes result in an initial, mild amplification of symptoms, which may be frightening or confusing because, well, that’s why you came to see me in the first place! But, don’t worry: these symptoms will usually ease within a day or so. However, in the rare case that an aggravation is persistent or troubling, or should you have any questions, call, text, or email me straight away. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit your local emergency department.
